If you would like to support Ronald McDonald House Atlanta with a tax-smart donation this year, a gift of appreciated stocks, bonds or other marketable securities that you have held for more than one year may be the right gift for you.
When making a gift of appreciated securities owned for more than one year, you will receive a double tax benefit:
1. You are entitled to a federal income tax deduction based on the current fair market value of the securities, regardless of their original cost.
2. You will be exempt from paying capital gains taxes on any increase in the value of the securities since you acquired them — taxes you would pay if you had otherwise sold them.
1. If you have the physical securities, either hand deliver them to us or mail us the stocks and stock power separately.
2. If you don’t have possession of the physical securities, instruct your broker to electronically transfer your intended shares and notify Laura Hardy, by email at laura.hardy@ronaldmcdonaldhouseatl.org or by phone at 678-704-8092, once the transfer is complete to ensure we correctly identify your gift.

Collecting pop tabs is a fun and easy way to support Ronald McDonald House Atlanta. Across the Metro-Atlanta area, hundreds of individuals, schools and companies are working together to collect Pop Tabs to benefit the families who rely on the Atlanta Houses and Ronald McDonald Care Mobile. Those Pop Tabs are recycled and the money raised helps support Atlanta operations.
Become an ambassador for recycling and ask your family, friends, school, church or company to get involved. Share the Pop Tab Program Flyer.
Remove the pop tabs from every aluminum can and collect them in a convenient container (coffee cans, milk jugs, plastic bags, etc.)
Drop off your pop tabs at the Ronald McDonald House. You also can visit your local recycling center and have the proceeds from your donation made out to Ronald McDonald House Atlanta. Mail the check to our Administrative Office.
