ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – As a part of a global rebranding plan, the Atlanta Ronald McDonald House Charities has undergone a name change.

The organization unveiled its new name, Ronald McDonald House Atlanta, saying that it’s now “emphasizing its role as a haven for families with sick and injured children.

They also released their new tagline, “Family Stays.”

“This rebranding showcases authentic family stories and highlights the nonprofit’s mission of providing support, resources and accommodations near hospitals,” the organization said.

The rebrand comes just before Ronald McDonald House Atlanta is expected to open its expanded facility on the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Arthur M. Blank hospital campus in December.

According to the organization, the new 126,000-square-foot facility with 110 rooms will increase capacity by 75% as a way to help them serve more families.
