Give the Gift of Togetherness This Holiday Season

Every family at Ronald McDonald House Atlanta walks through a different journey. But no matter the illness or injury, one characteristic unites them all – the need for world-class pediatric healthcare, and the most important source of their healing- the support of their family.

Gracie Ring was diagnosed with Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID) at a young age, which required treatment in an intensive outpatient program, and an extended stay at Ronald McDonald House Atlanta.

“The biggest thing people don’t realize about the Ronald McDonald House is how much they give families. Every face is welcoming and comforting. If you come here with nothing, they will make sure that you have every single thing that you could possibly need,” said Sarah Ring, mom to Gracie.

After Tori Dean’s Bone Marrow Transplant, she was required to stay close to the hospital in a secluded, sterile environment. “Thank God the Ronald McDonald House is right around the corner from the hospital, because I was terrified,” shared Enrika Dean, Tori’s mom. We had peace of mind knowing the hospital was right down the road, because we had to make emergency room visits in the middle of the night.”

When Liliana Noell was life-flighted to Atlanta, her parents, Cylina and Jonathan Noell, left everything at home and ran. Walking into the Ronald McDonald House amidst their daughter’s medical emergency, they had no idea what to expect. I have never felt more relief than the first time we walked into Ronald McDonald House Atlanta,” shared Cylina Noell. Here, you don’t have to ask, you just get, and they anticipate what we need before we need it.

Comfort, peace of mind and relief are just a few of the needs of a family with a sick or injured child. If you’re thinking of giving back , consider giving to families with sick or seriously injured children who are staying at  Ronald McDonald House Atlanta
